How it works

Every StonksPad token is a tax token: a small tax is charged on each buy and sell. It is a Flap tax token, created on Flap. Instead of sending that tax to a single creator wallet, StonksPad routes it into a dedicated vault that belongs to the token. The vault pays the creator, buys the reward assets and hands them to the token's holders, all on-chain.

Step by step

  1. Launch. The creator fills in the token details, picks up to 10 reward assets (STONKS is always included), sets the buy/sell tax and decides how the tax is split between creator fees and holder rewards. Holders always get at least 10% of the vault's income after the platform fee. The token is created on Flap with the StonksPad vault as its tax recipient, and the split is fixed from then on.

  2. Trade. People buy and sell on the site (or anywhere else the token trades). On Flap's bonding curve, trades go through Flap; after graduation, through PancakeSwap. Each trade pays the tax.

  3. Collect. Flap's tax processor forwards the token's tax revenue to its vault. The vault sets aside the platform fee (11.11% of what it receives) and splits the rest: the creator's fee destinations get their share as claimable BNB, the reward pool gets the holders' share. Every token page shows this split, computed from the vault's fixed fee settings (with vault implementation v2.4.2 the vault also reports it itself through taxSplit()).

  4. Buy. About once an hour, Flap's trigger service starts a purchase round. The vault splits the reward pool equally between the token's reward assets and buys them on-chain, through Flap's swap service (VaultEx) or, for STONKS, directly on PancakeSwap. Every purchase is checked against an on-chain reference price (Chainlink or a TWAP), so a manipulated price makes the purchase wait instead of filling badly.

  5. Deposit. What the round bought goes into the token's rewards basket and the basket is deposited into the token's dividend contract, the contract Flap deploys with every token. It credits every holder above the minimum holding, in proportion to their balance, at the moment of the deposit.

  6. Receive. Flap delivers the rewards: once a holder's pending rewards are large enough, Flap's dividend system pushes them to the holder's wallet, and the reward assets themselves arrive. Smaller amounts stay credited and can be claimed on the Claim page at any time. Creators claim their BNB fees whenever they like.

There is no waiting window and no off-chain operator: every step above is done by the contracts and by Flap's services. Details: How rewards work.

What makes it different

  • Multiple stocks per token. A launch can reward holders with up to 10 different assets at once, split equally.
  • Fee routing to X handles. A creator can send fees to any X account, even one that has never used StonksPad. The recipient just logs in with X to find their earnings waiting.
  • Everything on-chain and open. The vault is built to Flap's public vault specification, its source is verified on BscScan, and the vault is visible on flap.sh like any other Flap vault.
  • The platform shrinks its own token. 80% of StonksPad's share of every token's fees is used to buy and burn $STONKS.

Legacy tokens

A few test tokens launched before the current vault generation (on the earlier factories listed under "Legacy" on Contracts) used an older reward model with periodic distributions. They are not listed on the site, and nothing on this page applies to them.
