How rewards work
Holder rewards are tracked and paid entirely on-chain, through the dividend system Flap deploys with every token. There is no off-chain operator, no waiting window and nothing to stake or register.
How rewards accrue
- Every trade pays the token's tax. The vault sets aside the platform fee and the creator's share; the holder-reward share stays in the vault as BNB, the reward pool.
- About once an hour, Flap's trigger service starts a purchase round. The vault splits the reward pool equally between the token's reward assets and buys them on-chain through Flap's swap service (VaultEx); STONKS is bought directly on PancakeSwap. A purchase usually settles within seconds; until it does it is listed under "Pending purchases" on the token page.
- Everything bought goes into the token's rewards basket: one basket token per launch that holds the reward assets and nothing else.
- The basket is deposited into the token's own dividend contract, the contract Flap deploys with every token. It tracks every holder's balance and credits each deposit pro rata, on-chain, at the moment of the deposit.
A token can also reward holders in BNB. That share of the reward pool is not used to buy anything: it is wrapped and delivered as WBNB (wrapped BNB), which you can unwrap to BNB on the Wallet page or in any wallet app.
You do not stake or register. Holding at least the token's minimum holding is enough; the creator sets it at launch (10,000 to 10,000,000 tokens) and it cannot be changed afterwards. A wallet below the minimum earns no new rewards; what it has already earned stays its own.
Receiving your rewards
Flap sends rewards on-chain once a holder's pending amount is large enough. The basket unwraps on the way out: the reward assets themselves arrive in your wallet. Smaller amounts stay yours and can be claimed on the Claim page at any time.
If you signed in with X, rewards are delivered to your StonksPad wallet. From the Wallet page you can keep them there or send them to any address. You can send out up to the amount you received as rewards, at most 20 sends per day, and not within 24 hours after your account's X handle was renamed.
Claim on stonkspad.sh and the token's page show, per reward asset, what you have earned so far, what is claimable now and what you have already received. Because Flap sends the larger amounts on-chain, "claimable now" usually shows only the smaller amounts that are waiting to be claimed.
Claiming smaller amounts
Rewards below Flap's threshold are not sent yet. They add up in claimable now, and you can claim them whenever you like; the same button also collects anything else that was left undelivered.
- Open Claim on stonkspad.sh, or the token's page, and sign in (X login or your own wallet).
- If a token shows an amount under claimable now, press Claim. The underlying assets arrive in your wallet in one transaction.
If you signed in with X, you do not need BNB to claim: StonksPad sends the claim transaction for you and the rewards arrive in your StonksPad wallet. If you connected your own wallet, you send the claim from that wallet and pay its network fee.
What is claimable can be claimed at any time. There is no deadline and no claim window, and nobody has to approve a distribution first.
If one asset cannot be transferred at the moment of your claim (an issuer can pause a tokenized stock), the claim still delivers all the others. The skipped amount stays credited to your wallet and is delivered with a later claim once the asset can be transferred again.
When a reward asset is paused
StonksPad cannot pause a reward asset in a token that is already launched. Only Flap's Guardian can, for one token at a time, and it is meant for emergencies (for example an asset whose price source failed).
- For the first 72 hours the asset is simply not bought. It keeps its share of the reward pool, set aside in BNB, and purchases continue as before if the pause is lifted in that time. The token page shows from when the share would be redistributed.
- After 72 hours the asset's share, including what was set aside, is redistributed to the token's reward assets that are still being bought.
Amounts of the asset that were already bought stay in the rewards basket and remain yours. STONKS is part of every basket.
Removing an asset from the list that new launches can choose from is a different thing: it changes nothing for tokens that already have it.
Creator fees
Creator fee destinations claim their share in BNB from the Claim page, at any time. The reward assets come from the registry of stock dividends, split equally. The platform fee is fixed.
Costs paid from the reward pool
Flap's swap service charges 0.5% on each purchase. The fee of Flap's service that schedules and runs the distributions is also paid from the reward pool, within a fixed daily limit written into the vault. Nobody else is paid from it.
Trust assumptions
Rewards rely on contracts and roles that are not all StonksPad's. These are the powers that exist and what each one means for you as a holder.
- StonksPad cannot touch a launched token's vault at all. A vault's reward assets, how each one is priced and bought, its fee split, its limits and the address that receives the platform fee are fixed when the token is launched. No StonksPad key, and not StonksPad's timelock either, can change them, pause an asset, stop a purchase or move anything afterwards.
- What StonksPad can change applies to new launches only, after 48 hours. Which assets new launches may choose, the platform fee and the settings of future vaults are changed through a 48-hour timelock held by a multi-signature Safe, so a change is visible on-chain for 48 hours before it can take effect. The Safe has no power it can use at once.
- Only Flap's Guardian can act on a live vault, and it can act immediately. It can pause a reward asset in one vault, repair the price source of an asset for one vault, cancel a stuck purchase request and start a purchase round. It can also upgrade the vault and the basket: both sit behind beacons that only the Guardian can upgrade, so their code can change by Flap's decision and not by StonksPad's.
- The dividend contract is Flap's. The contract that holds and pays holder rewards is deployed by Flap and owned by Flap's Portal, so the rules for holding and paying your rewards are Flap's, not StonksPad's.
- Flap can recover stuck dividend tokens. A role in Flap's contracts named
AUDITOR_ROLE, held by a 1-of-8 Safe, can recover stuck dividend tokens, which here means the basket shares the dividend contract holds for holders. One signer out of eight is enough to move them.AUDITOR_ROLEis only the name of the role; it does not mean that anything has been reviewed. - Flap can set dividend receivers and deferred origins. Flap's
MANAGE_ROLE, held by a 2-of-4 Safe, can change these settings of the dividend contract, so two of its four signers can change how payouts are routed, and can mark addresses whose first-purchase share registration is deferred: a deposit made during that window skips them. - There is no privileged off-chain operator. No StonksPad account has special rights over a vault. No StonksPad key can make a vault buy, choose the moment of a purchase or cancel one, and nobody is paid by the vault for running it.
- Purchases happen only in Flap's trigger rounds. A vault buys reward assets only in a round started by Flap's trigger service, or in a call by Flap's Guardian. Nothing else can make it buy.
- Processing is permissionless. Settling what was delivered, allocating new revenue and scheduling the next round can be started by anyone, at most once every 10 minutes. That call cannot buy anything and cannot redirect anything. StonksPad's automated processing uses the same public call, with no special rights.
- Prices come from on-chain oracles. Reward assets and the basket are valued in US dollars from Chainlink price feeds and on-chain average prices. If a price source is stale, the purchase or the basket deposit it is needed for waits; a payout to you never depends on a price.
- Emergency powers belong to Flap's Guardian only. Besides pausing an asset and upgrading the code, the vault implementation v2.4.2 (deployed, active once Flap's Guardian switches the vault beacon to it) gives the Guardian a rescue mode: it can move BNB or tokens the vault holds (
guardianRescue) and redirect the vault's new tax income to another address (setForwardTo). While a vault is in rescue mode the token page shows a red notice with the address. Rescue mode only redirects new income: rewards already deposited sit in Flap's dividend contract and stay claimable, and rounds already funded still run. StonksPad's own admin and timelock have no such power over live vaults. - Holders always get at least 10% of the vault's income after the platform fee. A launch cannot route more than 90% of that net amount to the creator's fee destinations; the rest is the reward pool, split equally between the token's reward assets. As a share of all the tax the vault receives (platform fee 11.11%) that is at least 8.89% to holders and at most 80% to the creator (see Fees). Every token page shows its own split as "Platform / Creator / Holders … of all tax".
